Excellence Accountability Transparency

Excellence in education: public education is important, more than a place for individuals to succeed, public schools are places where students learn valuable skills of working together and are exposed to viewpoints other than their own.
Accountability: I take responsibility for overseeing district spending seriously, as someone invested in student success, with respect for professional educators (my parents are retired educators of D11 and D20) and district employees, as a parent, as a community advocate and homeowner and taxpayer, as some one who is frugal, and accountable to the many community members I have come to know living over 25 years in Colorado Springs.
Transparency: I believe in clear communication. I am data driven and I listen. I am open to viewpoints other than my own and welcome different points of view.
